Brazil: Where Civilization Meets Nature

BrazilFlowing with abundant music, beaches, islands and love of football, Brazil is where all your touristic dreams come true. Let’s not forget that it is hosting FIFA Worldcup this year and the Olympic Games in 2016. Regardless of international events, Brazil guarantees you a multiplicity of attractions and activities.

We begin with Corcovado, Rio De Janeiro. One cannot mention this city without thinking of the statue of Christ the Redeemer. This giant statue has been considered one of the seven new wonders of the world since 2007. Located on the top of Corcovado Mountain, this massive monument took five years to construct. Now it stands as a good representation of the Brazilian people, who receive their visitors with open minds and hearts.

Also in Corcovado, we find the high-rise summit that overlooks the port of Rio, with Tijuca Natural Garden on its peak. To reach the summit, you can travel in many ways; by elevators or escalators, train, or even helicopters. There you will find the Tijuca Forest and the Old Museum of Native Arts.

Next we move onto the city of Sao Paulo, one of the largest cities in the world, containing a multiplicity of landmarks, both commercial and natural. There you can find museums, the Bandeirantes monument and the Ibirapuera Park. The park extends to more than two million square meters has a museum, a planetarium, an auditorium, and a Japanese garden featuring lagoons and flowerbeds throughout the property.

Finally, the exquisite Islands of Fernando de Noronha. These islands consisting of 21 islands and the remnants of volcanic mountains in the Atlantic Ocean, were under the control of several countries and were also a prison in the past. But now the region is considered a historic area and is protected by UNESCO. With its wealth of marine fish and plants, and the mysterious Brazilian shipwreck of 1987, these islands make an ideal destination for divers. On the down side, since it is a protected area, the maximum number of allowable visitors on the island at the same time is only 420.
