Shrimp Arabbiata

ShrimpArabbiata-e

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of pasta, linguine fresh 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • 1 tablespoon butter 
  • 1⁄2 shrimps, large, peeled and cleaned 
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup onion, pre-chopped 
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 50g sliced black olives
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon basil, dried 
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon red chili pepper, chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons NADA Tomato Paste
  • 4 tomatoes, boiled and peeled (diced) 
  • 1⁄2 cup water 
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves, chopped


Directions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. 
  2. Drain and keep warm. 
  3. Heat the oil and butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sprinkle the shrimps with salt; add the shrimps to the pan. 
  5. Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until the shrimps are almost done. 
  6. Add the onion, minced garlic, basil, and crushed red chili pepper to the pan; sauté for minute. 
  7. Add the Nada Tomato Paste, water and bring to a boil. 
  8. Cook for 3 minutes or just until the sauce begins to thicken. 
  9. Add the chopped boiled tomatoes and black olives; cook for 1 minute. 
  10. Serve over pasta and garnish with some fresh chopped parsley.
