Spanish Rice

Spanish RiceIngredients:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 500g lean ground beef
  • ½ chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • ½ chopped green bell pepper
  • 2½ cups of stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp NADA Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chili powder



  1. Wash the rice, drain it, and allow it to dry thoroughly.
  2. Heat the oil in heavy skillet and add the rice. Let it cook and keep stirring constantly until it turns lightly browned, for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the onions, garlic, green peppers and beef, and Stir to break up ingredient up. Let it cook until the onion is limp and lightly browned. Then add NADA tomato paste and continue to cook for a couple of minutes
  4. Add undrained chopped tomatoes and all seasonins. Cover and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Let the stand covered for about 5 minutes before serving.
