Stop Talking, Start Doing: A Kick in the Pants in Six Parts

book (medium)

In Shaa Wasmund and Richard Newton’s book “Stop Talking, Start Doing: A Kick in the Pants in Six Parts” one idea rings loud and clear; with belief and the correct actions, success is sure to follow.

There comes a point in everyone’s career where you feel like you have somehow fallen in a never-ending routine you can’t get out of and start wondering, “Time is flying, but what am I doing? Is this what I want?” And with this question, more and more worries arise making you lose your focus. “Stop Talking, Start Doing” gives you the kick in the pants you need to stop this mundane circle and start “doing” what you’re supposed to do.

“Doing” is the key word here. Knowing what you want to do is all well and good, but just thinking about it, won't make it happen. This book encourages you to move on and start living the dreams you are often scared to pursue. It also helps you understand the reasons for not starting or completing your goals and stops you from feeling guilty or depressed about previous failures.

In the end, this short easy read, full of cartoons and quotes, will keep you engaged to the very last page and inspire you to take the right step in your career path and towards where you truly want to be.

Read the book and share your thoughts:

  • Are you stuck in a routine, career wise?
  • Afraid of repeating past mistakes and don’t know how to move on?
  • Have you ever been given a kick in the pants in order to reach a specific goal?
